DoFollow Search Engine

Jerry’s Search Engine is specialised in dofollow / no-nofollow / ifollow blogs. And you can add your own blogs too (as long as they are part of the DoFollow movement, of course).

Curiously, I’ve been the one who discovered this site for StumbleUpon (my first SU discovery ever!). I’m amazed that the webmaster has failed to stumble his own search engine. It’s a very good idea, and will certainly be of interest to many stumblers.

I simply use the policy, you comment and I reply on my blogs.. Dofollow gets kind of hard to track over time and so I dont do it even restrictedly!

  2. Karen Zara Says:

I take your point, although I’m favourable to the DoFollow movement.

    Thanks for your comment! :)

  3. Steven Snell Says:

    Karen,
Thanks for mentioning the search engine, I hadn’t seen it before. I use the DoFollow plugin on my blog. I’m not sure exactly what Vijay means about tracking DoFollow.

  4. Karen Zara Says:

    Steven,

Good to know that you’re a DoFollow user, because I left a comment on your blog some minutes ago. :P Just joking. I didn’t know you had installed that plugin, so there weren’t any interests behind my comment. ;)

As for Vijay’s comment, I assume it referred to spam, meaning that when one activates a dofollow plugin it may be hard to avoid spammy comments.

  5. Sucker Says:

That’s a really neat idea for a Google custom search!

  6. Karen Zara Says:

@Sucker: Indeed. Makes me wonder how many other interesting things one might come up with.

  7. maurizio Says:

    It’s a pity that it doesn’t work :-)

I tried it and I got a blogspot blog. Which of course is full of nofollow on comment (I’ve checked).

  8. Karen Zara Says:

@maurizio: Thank you for pointing that out. I’m going to verify it. Oh, and thank you for visiting this blog and leaving a comment! :)

  9. Jerry Huang Says:

Hey, thanks for writing about, and stumbling my DoFollow Search Engine! :D

As for the blogspot blogs, the comments should be rel=follow unless you’re viewing it from blogger.com. I take care to check every blog before I add it to the search engine but let me know if you’ve found any that are nofollow

    Thanks!
    Jerry

  10. Karen Zara Says:

You’re welcome, Jerry. I always try to show some support to good ideas. ;) And you can be sure that I’ll let you know if and when I spot any nofollow links on your search engine.

  11. Bape Says:

Its ironic that many bloggers talk about this but then they actually use no follow.

  12. Karen Zara Says:

@Bape: If that “ironic” thing was addressed to me, all I can say is that I’d be happy to turn nofollow off if WordPress.com allowed it. As far as I’m concerned, this host doesn’t offer this option, which is a pity. That however won’t hinder me from supporting the dofollow movement, while still respecting the nofollow supporters. :)

  13. Vijay Says:

I was referring to spam earlier.. Also, I’ve never advocated the use of dofollow.. It leads to poor quality comments. The top commentator plugin is better though…
